  Like the place good vibes. Reason for 3 star is that at arrival they wanted to take our alcohol. What is a weekend out without alcohol? So we needed to sneak it to the beach to drink it. Other then that it was nice

  The next day we went in to get a receipt and were informed by Mark that we actually owed him $62 because one of his bartenders made a mistake and charged a round of drinks we ordered onto the wrong account. He told us that if we didn't pay the 'outstanding sum' he would dock it from the bartenders wages.

  It is not a 5 star hotel, but we had 5 star experience in PK's Village. Really wonderful place to stay when you are exploring Daintree area. We rented a cabin and it was a very comfortable stay for a night. The food they served in the Jungle bar was nice, and the atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. Located only a short walk away from the beach through wonderful rain forest.

  Me and a crew of mates came here for one night and put a generous tab behind the bar to which Mark (the Owner) told us he would refund us any remaining money if we did not finish the tab. However, when we went to collect the remaining money Mark informed us that he 'unfortunately' had already settled the tills for the night and we would have to buy takeaway beers if we wanted to receive the rest of our tab. Luckily for him we are a bunch of booze hounds. We took the bait.

  Avoid PK's!! The reason why I would strongly recommend against visiting is simple: Mark is a low life scumbag who runs a monopoly in Cape Tribulation. If he gets the chance HE WILL screw you over.

  Have had a fabulous time.. great food.. comfortable rooms.. easy to get around.. great staff and a wonderful manager who with us being an older than the usual young crowd made us feel very welcome.. will definitely stay here again in the future .. affordable for the young.. for families and for us on a budget..

  Wow! The manager/owner here would have to be one of the rudest people I've ever met. Don't dare to go near the pool tables while holding a drink in your hand or you'll be made to feel like a naughty child. He has no concept of customer service and should not be running a place like this. Anyone who has left a good review for this place has obviously not been unfortunate enough to be spoken down to by this guy. Do yourself a favour and read a few reviews of this place before booking here, and then go find somewhere else to stay!
