We were excited to try strange foods like Crocodile, Emu etc. But I do remember the food took a very long while to come out. This shop is manned by the 1 person. The good thing with this place is that there is this amazing waterhole behind it. Follow the path!!

The staff were really nice and the place has a great waterhole out the back, although it was over an hour wait for two burgers which are so messy they fall all over the plate. Also the cafe is infested with flies so we had to eat our burgers in the car.

Very rude staff, 40 minute wait for food and flies everywhere. The swimming hole could be great but it is overgrown with spiky plants which makes it uncomfortable and dangerous to enter, despite the fact they ask for a donation for the upkeep!

Very disappointing in terms of service. The attitude of most of the staff members is quite rude. The service is basically about 'we're in the middle of nowhere, understaffed and jaded, wait your turn and don't bother us too much'. They have a menu listing the difficulties of running a business in that secluded place which I found pretty strange. I'd expect a more welcoming atmosphere in a place that totally relies on tourists. The food is quite good but there are other much more friendly places around.

Wasn't a quick lunch. We ordered the native and introduced taster plate with taro chips (as breadfruit wasn't in season). Consisted of Emu, Crocodile, Kangaroo, Buffalo, Wild Boar and Camel. Tasty! They do serve gluten free with a minimal surcharge. The taster plate was sufficient for 2.

If you want to avoid rude, arrogant staff there are much better places to visit in the Daintree.
